Handel's Messiah
The Chapel Choir of the Royal Hospital Chelsea and the Academy of Ancient Music return to Cadogan Hall to continue their Easter oratorio cycle.

Handel’s Messiah, composed in 1741, is one of the most beloved of all choral works, setting a selection of scriptural texts compiled by Charles Jennens. Although it can be performed at any time of year, Holy Week is a particularly fitting time.

All solos will be sung by members of the Royal Hospital’s critically acclaimed Chapel Choir. William Vann, Director of Music at the Royal Hospital, directs the choir alongside the trailblazing early-music ensemble the Academy of Ancient Music, which recently celebrated its 50th birthday.
