
Under the direction of harpsichordist and former Music Director Richard Egarr, AAM returns to Hall for Cornwall with Handel’s two most popular orchestral suites – Water Music, first performed in 1717 on barges on the River Thames to celebrate the coronation of King George I – and Music for the Royal Fireworks, written just over 30 years later for an outdoor spectacular at the command of his successor, King George II.
