Centuries pass, but artistry is forever, and whether it’s 1726 or 2026, there’s nothing to match the voltage generated by a virtuoso performer at the absolute peak of their game. In this extraordinary, genre-crossing collaboration AAM meets marimba phenomenon The Wave Quartet. Sparks will fly.
'My music is a popular chamber music that comes from the tango' said Astor Piazzolla, and everything in this concert shares the same urge to communicate. It’s an adventure in musical time and space that embraces both 18th century Germany and the backstreets of Buenos Aires; the electrifying sonic patterns of Bach and Handel, and the (surprisingly baroque) rhythms of Nuevo Tango.
These were composers who transcended boundaries and astonished the senses. We’ll aim for nothing less.
