About this concert

For the final concert in The Bach Dynasty series the AAM presents three of JS Bach’s finest cantatas from across his thirty-year tenure at Leipzig. The cantatas are an extraordinary and unique musical phenomenon, combining astounding and consistent quality with a vast, ambitious scale.

Pre-concert talk with Sir Nicholas Kenyon

From 6.30 to 7pm, Richard Egarr will be joined by Sir Nicholas Kenyon to discuss JS Bach's cantatas. Sir Nicholas is Managing Director of the Barbican Centre, and has been Controller of BBC Radio 3 and Director of the BBC Proms. He has written on music for The New Yorker, The Times and The Observer, and has recently published the Faber Pocket Guide to Bach.

Post-concert book and CD signing

Immediately after the concert, Sir Nicholas Kenyon will sign copies of his Faber Pocket Guide to Bach and Richard Egarr will sign AAM CDs.
